Use tapatalk on your phone or tablet for notifications and posting on the forum.

Thought I'd create a quick tutorial regarding tapatalk.  I use it myself and it's handy for getting notifications when people post on the forum, as you should get the notifications instantly.  Also saves you from opening a browser and logging in, as the app remembers you.

Firstly install the tapatalk app via Google play or the Apple app store.  It's free to use.

Once you've opened the app search for bangor mums and then click on 'follow'.

You'll come to the page below, if you click on bangor mums and select 'feed settings'

It opens up a new page and basically you select what you want to see when you open bangor mums on tapatalk.

I usually have all of them highlighted except for trending.

'Browse' let's you see all the Forums at a glance.

'Timeline' let's you view the most recent activity on the forum.  For example new eventd/posts and likes.

'Unread' are any unread topics since your last visit to the site.

'Subscribe' shows any threads you've subscribed to (I'll show you how to do that).

'Participated' shows any threads you've posted on.

Click confirm when you've chosen your choices.

Now you will see your chosen tabs on your feed.  If you click the blue + button on the bottom right you get a little pop up, it's a quick way to message someone or start a new topic.  Press the x to get out of the pop up:

On the top of the app you'll see an alarm icon.  This is for notifications.   The message icons is to send or read messages and the three dots is a drop down to the settings tab.  All pretty self explanatory.

When viewing a topic, if you'd like to subscribe to it for instant notifications you simply select the tick at the top of the topic:

The only thing tapatalk doesn't do is view the calendar for you.   However we post in the calendar and create a thread for it at the same time, so this shouldn't cause any problems.

It's a great app and pretty easy to navigate when you get used to it!  Handy getting notifications straight to your phone too!
